What does the wedding planner do on the wedding day?
Not only your wedding planner will be the first vendor at your venue, but also the last one to leave. Responsible for coordinating the presence and locations of all vendors, in fact, they serve as a point of contact for inquiries from the bridal party, vendors, venue staff, and guests. Additionally, they play a crucial role in maintaining the schedule for the couple throughout the entire day and thus ensure the perfect wedding.
When is the best time to hire a wedding planner?
The best time is as soon as you get engaged, as a wedding planner can assist you with finding your wedding venue and all of your wedding suppliers. To be sure to make the right decision you can contact us and discover all our services, so that you can choose the best solution for your needs. Then, we can steer you in the right direction and keep you on track with your wedding planning.
Where are you based?
While our primary base is in Florence, we've established multiple bases throughout Italy. Due to the nature of our work, we frequently travel and thoroughly enjoy it. Furthermore, regardless of our location, we always have our mobile and laptop on hand, ensuring that we can provide support to you from anywhere; after all, we collaborate with clients from around the world.
How many meetings should we expect to have with you?
Typically, our initial consultation spans 30 minutes to an hour and can be conducted over the phone, Skype, or in person. During this session, our goal is to delve into your background, understand your current planning status, and explore your ideas. Moreover, it serves as an opportunity for you to pose any questions you may have and is crucial, not only for you to identify the best fit for your needs but also for us to compile a quote/proposal tailored to your preferences.
Once you decide to move forward with our services, our Full Plan couples can benefit from a range of offerings. This includes unlimited email, phone, and Skype communication during office hours (with immediate attention to emergencies wherever possible). Additionally, we provide flexibility for evening and weekend calls, to be scheduled according to your convenience and we extend up to three in-person meetings to thoroughly discuss wedding plans or accompany you during meetings with local suppliers. Furthermore, we offer two full-day venue visits to ensure a comprehensive understanding of your chosen locations.
Do you work with all kinds of vendors to cater to specific cultures and religions?
We absolutely cater to all of our client’s needs. Moreover, we collaborate exclusively with vendors who align with your values and requirements and not only meet but exceed expectations, adding significant value to your big day.
How many weddings do you plan per year? Per month? Per weekend?
By choice, each Coordinator plans approximately 10-to-20 weddings per year – a combination of Full Service, Month-Of, and Custom Coordination clients. We typically plan no more than four weddings per month each, with no more than one wedding per weekend each. We are firm believers in not over-committing ourselves, so we control our workloads in order to give our clients the time and attention they deserve!
Will a civil marriage in Italy be legal in our country? How do we obtain the marriage certificate?
Of course! You have the flexibility to hold a civil wedding at any location in Italy, and it will be legally recognized in your home country. In short to proceed, simply gather the required legal documents and adhere to your country's standard procedures for obtaining the marriage certificate. With our extensive experience in wedding planning, The Different Twins will offer comprehensive guidance, by all means keeping you well-informed at every stage. As a matter of fact, during our initial consultation, we will gladly provide further insights to assist you in making informed decisions.
How much communication will we have?
Our packages come with unlimited communication throughout planning. Face to face meetings, in fact, will vary depending on package, but email, phone, and texting is encouraged whenever questions or concerns come up! Our team checks in with each client along the way to make sure everything goes smoothly during planning.
Do wedding planners only work with preferred suppliers?
We can’t speak for all wedding planners, but as far as we're concerned, we aim to work only with established and trusted suppliers as ultimately our outstanding reputation is in their hands.
With weddings becoming more and more individualistic we sometimes have to look to new suppliers that we may not have previously worked with, in these cases we will only engage a supplier once we have assured they are able to deliver to the standard expected.

Do you charge extra for travel and accommodation?
The majority of our travel and accommodation costs are included within our basic planning fees, but this may be affected by wedding location and other factors; however, these would be established with you at our first consultation and advised if we felt any additional expenses may be applied.
